How to Ruin Your Boyfriend's Reputation

How to Ruin Your Boyfriend's Reputation
By Simone Elkeles
Flux, 2009
Audience: Older Teens

From Goodreads:
In the third book of this bestselling series, Amy Barak-Nelson misses her boyfriend Avi, who is in the Israeli army. Her grandmother convinces Amy to sign up for two weeks in a military training base. Not her idea of fun, but what's worse? Her team leader turns out to be Avi.

Maybe I have a different edition or something, but I thought Amy's friends convinced her to sign up, not her Grandmother.

So in general, it seemed like Amy just followed Avi around a lot. Also, *Spoiler Alert* they broke up. Again. For the second time AT LEAST in this series.

But, boy, it was FUNNY. Simone Elkeles can write humor, and she should do it more often. Seriously. The situations Amy gets herself into. The shower scene? Hilarious. And yes, Amy can be bratty, but she cares about her friends and her religion and Avi, and she is fully aware of her brattiness. That makes it a lot LESS annoying.

I liked this one just as much as the other two, in spite of Amy constantly trying to find Avi everywhere.
