Mortal Gods Cover Reveal and Interview

Yes, you read that right.

I got to interview Kendare Blake! Author of Anna Dressed in Blood - and of course, the Goddess War books! So happy.

Don’t you love the cover for the new book?! It’s so full of energy and power. I’m sure the book will be fabulous also. I wish I knew more about the stories they were based on. I’m a librarian. Some research may be in order.

Here is the author interview:

I loved Anna Dressed in Blood. I knew it was a good horror book because I didn’t want to read it after 6pm due to potential bad dreams! Do you have plans to write another teen horror book?

This is excellent. Fear of reading at night, by yourself. Though that is how I recommend the book is read. In fact, all books, not just mine. Someday, I probably will write another horror book. In the meantime, the books I write will always be dark, disturbing in one way or another, and weird. I am contributing to a horror anthology due out in 2015: SLASHER GIRLS & MONSTER BOYS. That one should be GOOD.

Have you ever been starstruck when you’ve met another author?

Absolutely. George RR Martin was probably the most awe-inspiring. I sat next to him at a dinner and could barely eat my scallops. And then he spoke to me and I said something idiotic. I don't remember exactly, but the probability for idiocy was high. Also, I wound up sitting beside Jonathan Maberry at an author hangout after an event. We ordered the same meal. It was like i was stalking him without even trying.

What inspired the Goddess War books?

A desire to work with the Iliad and the Odyssey. I love them. I love Hector, and Cassandra, and those idiotic, petty, meddlesome gods.
